A New Team Every Week

Every question for Tennis — Easy, Medium, and Hard — follows the same fictional team and roster for an entire week, Sunday through Saturday. This week, questions follow Elena Castillo and her rival, Sofia Marchetti.

The next week brings a brand new team and a brand new set of players. A few reasons that matters:

How the Levels Work in Tennis

Easy — Addition & Subtraction

Add up aces served across the first and second set, combine games won across a full match, or subtract to find the gap in games won between two players. A tennis match's set-by-set structure breaks naturally into simple addition and subtraction.

Medium — Multiplication & Division

Calculate total aces from a per-set average, find a player's average number of games won per match, or work out total ranking points earned from a set of tournament wins. Tennis rewards consistency across matches, which is exactly the kind of per-match averaging that multiplication and division practice.

Hard — Percentages

Determine a player's first-serve success percentage, calculate what percentage of a player's total points came from aces, or find the percentage change in a player's aces from one match to the next. First-serve percentage is one of the most commonly cited tennis stats, so this is where the math starts to sound like real commentary.

Try a Sample Question

Here's a real example from each level — try one yourself.

Easy — Addition & Subtraction

Elena Castillo hit 6 aces in the first set and 4 aces in the second set. How many total aces did Elena Castillo hit?

Medium — Multiplication & Division

Elena Castillo won 36 games over 6 matches. What was Elena Castillo's average number of games won per match?

Hard — Percentages

Elena Castillo played 25 matches this season and won 20 of them. What percentage of Elena Castillo's matches were wins?

Who Is This For?

Students

A short daily question that uses stats from a sport you actually care about, instead of a worksheet. Answer at your own level — start with Easy and work up to Hard as you get more comfortable, and see the explanation right after you answer so you know exactly why the answer is what it is.

Teachers

A ready-made warm-up or homework supplement that doesn't require any setup. Three difficulty levels per sport mean you can point different students at different levels without singling anyone out, and each question comes with a written explanation, so it works as independent practice, not just something you have to walk through yourself.

Parents

A low-pressure way to keep math skills warm outside of school, in a format your kid already wants to engage with. It only takes a couple of minutes a day, there's nothing to set up or grade, and if they get one wrong the explanation walks them through it — no need for you to be the one re-teaching multiplication at the dinner table.

Coaches

A way to connect the stats your players already talk about — shooting percentage, yards per carry, first-serve percentage — to the math they're learning in school. Share the day's question with the team as a quick mental warm-up before or after practice, and it doubles as a light, no-pressure way to build team habits around something other than the game itself.
